The Statue of Liberty - Ellis Island Foundation, Inc., founded in
1982, has been an instrumental partner to the Statue of Liberty and
Ellis Island. To learn more about the Foundation's history, efforts and

In 2001, a partnership to rehabilitate Ellis Island's south side was
formed with Save Ellis Island, Inc. To learn more about the effort to
